"Stars & Stripes" is a fascinating expedition that explores the legacy of Pearl Harbor and its profound impact on history.
You will begin your journey at Pearl Harbor where you will be able to experience and explore exhibits of personal memorabilia, photographs, battle artifacts and a real film footage of the Dec. 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. You will then continue your journey by boat to the USS Arizona Memorial (the sunken battleship where more than 1,100 of the ship's crewmen lost their lives). The USS Arizona tour includes an audio narrated tour that features the voices of Pearl Harbor survivors. At the Battleship Missouri also known as the Mighty Mo, you will get the opportunity to hear stories about the ship's history and even be able to stand where General Douglas MacArthur accepted the Instrument of Surrender from Japan that ultimately ended World War II.
After Pearl Harbor you'll continue your tour in a narrated drive to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl where many men and women who died fighting for their county are buried, The tour concludes with a drive through historic Honolulu where you will be able to see some of Hawaii's most mesmerizing landmarks such as Hawaii State Capital, Honolulu City Hall, Lolani Palace and Kawaiahao Church.
